Elanor
Rob Halligan - From the CD 'Dark Clouds Fighting'

Elanor was a lady that I knew a long time ago
Elanor was a stranger in a foreign land
Elanor came searching for peace of mind and soul
Elanor came with empty hands
Elanor was a lady of dignity
With a broken body and a thirst heart
Elanor came longing to be free
From a life that tore her life apart

Down by the river
Into the water
Wading in deeper
Letting the power carry her

Every morning when the sun revealed a brand new day
Elanor would go walking over the hills
Dreaming of a land she left so far away
Remembering a life before she fell
Elanor was a lady of beauty
That couldn't be dimmed by a broken life
As tears fell for the place she longed to see
She knew it was something she would find

Down by the river
Into the water
Wading in deeper
Letting the power carry her

Elanor had a heart like a wild waterfall
Longing to find a bigger stream
She couldn't stop running when she heard the call
Elanor found the promise of her dreams
Elanor had a heart that could not be crippled
And a spirit that would not give up the fight
Elanor was a jewell in the heart of her people
Elanor found the pearl of greatest price
